By accessing or using DefendDevs ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
DefendDevs provides automated code security analysis. Users submit source code for scanning, and the Service returns vulnerability findings, severity ratings, and remediation suggestions. The Service includes a web application, API access, and downloadable reports.
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
The Service offers per-scan pricing with no recurring subscriptions. Prices are displayed at the time of purchase and are charged in US dollars. All payments are processed through Stripe. Credits are non-refundable once a scan has been completed. Unused credits do not expire. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time, but changes will not affect credits already purchased.
New accounts receive one free preview scan. The preview scan provides a security score and vulnerability count but does not include detailed findings, AI analysis, or PDF reports. The free preview is limited to one per account.
When you submit code for scanning, the Service processes it to identify potential vulnerabilities. Your submitted code is:
Scan results, including findings, scores, and AI analysis, are stored in your account and retained until you delete your account.
The Service provides API access for programmatic scanning. Your API key is unique to your account and must not be shared. API usage is subject to the same credit system and rate limits as the web interface. We reserve the right to revoke API keys that are misused or shared.
The Service provides automated security analysis and should not be considered a substitute for comprehensive manual security audits, penetration testing, or professional security consulting. The Service:
We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the completeness or accuracy of scan results.
You agree not to:
You retain all ownership rights to code you submit for scanning. The Service does not claim any ownership over your submitted code or the scan results generated for your account. The Service, including its design, features, and functionality, is owned by DefendDevs and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your scan results and account data will be permanently deleted.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DefendDevs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DefendDevs from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
